The March 28 edition of the Andover American, which was distributed in free newsstands around town Wednesday, features Andover Central softball player Cami Gee as our “Athlete of the Week.”
Gee is a senior who just made the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail Division II all-league basketball team. She says the best part of softball is hitting home runs and the worst part is “getting all scraped up from sliding.”
Be sure to read our Q&A with Gee, which is only available in the print edition.
Our Student of the Week is Emilee Brooke O’Hair, an ACHS senior who has a 4.0 grade-point average. She will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall, and her advice to younger students is “don’t get too stressed out about anything.”
If you have a nomination for either of these, just drop an e-mail to email@example.com.
The Andover American print edition can be picked up for free in many locations around town - including the YMCA, Valero, Kansas Medical Center, Scooter's, Pink Boa, Curves, Vic's Corn Popper, City Hall, the library, Timbuktu, Stooges, Walgreens, Equity Bank, Emprise Bank, Capital Federal, Life Care Center, Butler Community College and the Dillons coffee shop.
