Mariah Hall’s class visited Victoria Falls Assisted Living when she was in fourth grade. The visit never left her mind.
So for the last two years, Hall has taken it upon herself to make 100 Christmas decorations and deliver them to Victoria Falls. At 14, she’s too young to get credit for community service hours. Hall said she does it just for the positive reaction she gets from the residents, many of whom are feeling lonely around the holidays.
“They just seem so happy to see young people come visit them,” said Hall, an eighth-grader at Andover Central Middle School.
Last week, Hall and two of her friends, Grant Huslig and Erik Jacobson, delivered 100 door handles, 20-inch snowmen, to the residents.
