Rain or shine, the Andover Rotary Club promises a good time at its third annual "Haus of Brews" event this weekend.
The event features sampling of a variety of German and other beers, as well as food like bierocks, grilled bratwurst with onions and sauerkraut and soft pretzels with dipping sauce.
"It's going to be fairly similar to what we did last year," said Andy Koenigs of the Rotary Club. "And everybody had a very, very good time last year."
The event is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at Treescapes, 1202 N. Andover Rd.
Should there be wet or chilly weather, Treescapes will have heat lamps underneath a shelter. Should the weather get worse, the event could be moved to an alternate location.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased online at http://bit.ly/nAhRon.
In addition to helping fund local projects like Caring and Sharing and Novel Journeys, proceeds will also go to support Bill Gates' worldwide effort for polio eradication.
