The El Dorado Wildcats beat host Wellington and Clearwater, before losing to Maize South in a Tuesday night volleyball quadrangular.
The Wildcats (13-19) beat Wellington in two games (25-15, 25-15). Haley Bergen had four kills, five assists and four aces to lead El Dorado, while Rachael West and Taylor Grunder had four kills apiece against the Crusaders.
El Dorado beat Clearwater in three games (25-15, 20-25, 25-8). Bergen had five kills, five aces and 13 assists; while Jaimie House had five kills, four aces and nine assists in the win. Grunder and Weet also had five kills, while Lindsay Klein recorded four kills.
The Wildcats closed out the day with a two-game loss to the Mavericks (25-9, 25-16). Bergen had six assists in the match as El Dorado recorded only seven kills as a team.
NOTES — The Wildcats were placed in the Class 4A Hesston sub-state along with Circle, Augusta and Maize South. Other teams in the sub-state include Buhler, Smoky Valley and Haven.
