Months of planning will boil down to the real thing Thursday when 2010 Greater Andover Days activities begin.
With an exception for the Saturday morning (10 a.m.) parade north to south on Andover Road and then east on Central, most events are focused in an around Central Park, 1607 E. Central.
Thursday night openers include music concerts in the park gazebo by elementary through high school students.
Free shuttle service to the park will be available from Andover Central High School parking lots.
Ottaway Amusement carnival rides will be set up at Central Park.
The park food court, sponsored by the Andover Rotary Club,  will be open from 45 to 10 p.m.?Thursday.
An information booth on what to expect and when specific activities will happen will also be at the park Thursday night.
A rehearsal for the Miss Andover Pageant will be held at ?Central High 6  to 8 p.m. The actual pageant will start at 6 p.m. Friday at ACHS.
There will be activities galore for all ages to enjoy Friday and Saturday.
These include breakfast, arts & crafts, consignment sale, bingo, street carnival, fun run, co-ed softball, monterrey dinner, cr show, KidFest, ice cream, pig catch, hotdog eating contest.
“Apryl &The Get Down,” will provide music from the Central Park stage from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday.
“Big Fat Fun” will be the music feature from 8:30 to 10 p.m. on?Saturday.
