Friday night's performance was what the Rockets expected from the 2010 season.

Rose Hill came into the year expecting big things. After an 0-2 start with losses to Collegiate and Buhler, the Rockets were reeling.

But they regained their composure with a win in Andale and Friday night the Rockets everyone expected showed up. Rose Hill beat Pratt 70-0 - making a statement that they are back in the state championship discussion.

Pratt gave Rose Hill the ball on a punt to the 35 yard line in Rose Hill territory. But on the first play from scrimmage, Derrick Decker hit Kyle Anderson down the middle for a 65-yd touchdown pass.

On the next Pratt possession, a short punt gave the Rockets the ball in Greenback territory.

Hunter Lewis capped a short drive with a 3-yard run for a 14-0 Rocket lead. The same scenario played out again on the next PHS drive. Decker hit Caleb Braddy for a 9-yard scoring pass to extend the Rocket lead to 21-0.

Pratt fumbled the ensuing kickoff and Rose Hill took advantage again. Lewis capped another short drive with another short run and gave his team a 28-0 lead still in the first quarter.

Pratt did a little more with their next drive and pinned Rose Hill back on its own 23. But Decker scrambled for 38 yards and Mayes went the final 39 yards on the second play of the drive to push the lead to 35-0.

The Rockets led 49-0 at the half and went on to win 70-0.
