Contestants are still being sought for the inaugural Greater Andover Days Hot Dog Eating Contest, which will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in Central Park.
Michelle and Shane from KSCW's "The Weekend Crew" and Rashell from Univision Kansas will be emceeing the contest.

In addition to the T-shirts, several prizes will be awarded. The first three finishers will get gift packages from Vic's Corn Popper. First and second place will also receive barbecue items from Treescapes, and the winner will receive a trophy.

3. All contestants must be registered and checked-in at least 30 minutes prior to the contest, and be wearing an official T-shirt when the event begins.
4. Water will be provided to all contestants. It is the only beverage allowed.
5. Each contestant will be given five hot dogs at a time.
6. Mustard and ketchup will be provided.
7. Any complete hot dog in the competitor's mouth at the whistle counts toward the final tally.
8. The hot dogs must "stay down" for the duration of the contest, and for five minutes afterward.
9. Dunking, squashing or separating the hot dog and bun is allowed, but contestants may not touch them before time starts.
10. In case of any controversy, the judges have the final say.
