Various charities, organizations and projects received funding from the El Dorado Charities Auxiliary this year.

The Auxiliary’s main purpose is help with financial support to designated charities and projects that benefit the community. In addition to financial support, they also assist the charities and projects in various fields in which members are qualified to give service.

Each year there is a main fundraising event to allow the Auxiliary to give area charities assistance.
A Savannah Getaway Gala was the event this year and included a silent auction, live auction and other activities.

Through various donations and fundraising efforts the Auxiliary was able to award a total of $15,800 to the accepted charities this year.

Through an application process the charities provide information about what the funding would be used for as well as a need in the community.

Seventeen organizations were rewarded last week during a reception at Hudson Gardens.
