Dr. Mike Todd of Augusta was recognized as the 2010 Optometrist of the Year during  the Kansas Optometric Association (KOA) annual convention in Topeka.

This is the highest award an optometrist can receive from the KOA and recognizes his personal sacrifice to advance the eyecare profession and the welfare of the public.

This is the highest award an optometrist can receive from the KOA and recognizes his personal sacrifice to advance the eyecare profession and the welfare of the public.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry,  Dr.Todd is a past president of the KOA, the Kansas Optometric Foundation, and the Heart of  America Contact Lens Society.
As a KOA member, he has chaired numerous committees and projects. He is currently serving as editor for the Kansas Optometric Journal. He has also been active in the American Optometric Association (AOA) serving as a member of the Eyecare Benefits Center Executive Committee and chair of the AOA Coding sub-committee.
Dr.Todd’s public service includes twice serving as president of the  United Way of the Augusta, [resident of  hHigh school booster club, twice president of the local Optimist Club, a Little League coach, Chamber of Commerce director, and a Sunday School teacher.  He is the current president of the Augusta Chamber of Commerce.
He is actively involved in his church and has served in numerous community service projects and efforts including working with the Salvation Army on the?Vision USA eye care project and volunteering to work at a low vision clinic in?Wichita.
Dr. Todd practices with Dr. J. David Crum in Augusta and Valley Center.
