Despite a strong outing from freshman pitcher Madie Becker and the Orioles' defense, Mulvane's softball team was able to shut out Augusta 3-0 in the Regional semifinal Friday at the Mulvane Sports Complex.

Mulvane pitched Taylor Parsons held Augusta to three hits in the shutout win. Becker only allowed seven hits, but Mulvane capitalized on those opportunities. 

Augusta finishes the season with an 11-11 overall record and won four of its last five games before Mulvane ended its season.

Tori Dehlinger, Becker and Kalie Robinson had the three hits for the Orioles. Mulvane scored one run in each of the first, second and fifth innings.

It was the final game for seniors Megan Rinkenbaugh and Caitlin Ray. Kaitlin Kennedy, Chelsea Jones and Sarena Seal also are seniors for the Orioles.
