Graduates-to-be Jessica Henry and Aaron?Schneider, both of Andover High School, have been recognized by Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson as top scholars.
That state distinction has also been accorded to Ryan Schrader amd Hannan Siitz of Andover Central High School.
These students and others will graduate this weekend.
• Andover Central High’s commencement will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Gym A of the school.
• Andover High’s commencement will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Century II in?Wichita.
Other high school seniors in the Augusta area who have been recognized in this way, include:
Douglass High - Alex E. Sizemore. Graduation 3 p.m. Sunday in?DHS Gym.
Rose Hill High - Courtney N. Rash and Tyler J. Shirley. Graduation 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the school.
Circle High - Benjamin C. Harstine. Graduation 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Butler Community College.
“These high school seniors have shown dedication in their  studies and a commitment to  education. They’ve earned this honor and I want to congratulate all of them on this achievement,” said Gov. Parkinson. “We should also recognize their families, teachers, and mentors for helping these outstanding students achieve their academic goals.”
This program is coordinated for the Governor by the Confidence in Kansas  Public Education Task Force. It is funded by donations from private sector businesses in Kansas.
