Butler’s Facilities Director Ed Arnold update Butler Trustees on the progress of a multitude of projects during their November session.

“Projects are going really well,” said Arnold.

He said the newly remodeled Agricultural Facility is almost completely finished with a few loose ends coming to the surface.

A few punch list items still need clarified, he explained.
A sign is also being considered for the facility.

A budget of $7,500 has been set aside for signage for the Ag Facility.

The 5000 building is also seeing significant progress, according to Arnold.
“It’s moving right along,” he remarked.

There are some issues with landscaping.
Cedars scheduled to be planted will be delayed until February or March to allow optimum climate for transplant and a recent mowing of the bioswells around the campus has been completed.
Welcome Center construction is also moving along.

Arnold reported the progress is on schedule and on budget with a completion date of May 11, 2010.

Expended funds for the project total $2,248,332.33 with a remaining fund pool of $2,018,667.67.
The center’s landscaping is still under consideration.

Recently completed projects include Welcome Center infrastructure landscaping with which $55,941.75 was expended leaving $39,058.25 remaining.

The Agricultural Facility parking lot has been completed using $50,240.70 of the $55,823.00 budgeted.
