At approximately 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning a fire broke out at Frontier Refinery, 1401 Douglas Road.

"It was a small fire on what's called a flange," explained Bill Kloeblen, Frontier.

A flange is a section where two pieces of pipe come together Kloeblen said.

The refinery reported no injuries concerning the fire.

"Our internal fire department was able to get the fire under control," said Kloeblen. "We needed no outside assistance.

"Aside from that piece of equipment the plant is running fine."

According to Kloeblen the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
