"Many people, especially today, are left feeling there is nothing we can do to help with peace in this world. But there is. Now, more than ever, people need to promote world peace and understanding, and I don't know of a better way, than to bring students from other countries into our communities," said Mari Karlsson, Central States director, for the SHARE! Program.

"These teenagers are young adults who are impressionable and eager to learn more about America first hand -- they are tomorrow's leaders."

The SHARE! Program has several exchange students in need of host families for the upcoming school years and students are 15 to 18 years old, speak English, have their own spending money and medical insurance.

The host family provides a home away from home and students become family embers, actively participating with their host families.

The SHARE! Program is sponsored by Educational Resource Development Trust (ERDT), a nonprofit education foundation established in 1974.

It was created to provide opportunities for greater understanding between Americans and peoples of the world.

Families who are interested in hosting or obtaining additional information can visit the Web site www.sharecentral.org or call Danny and Lisa Booth at 316-775-7210 or the ERDT/SHARE! Regional Office at 1-800-715-3738.
