Feeling anxious about the upcoming holiday cooking season? Taste of Home Cooking School will be providing instructional presentations and booths offering ideas for the holiday season from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in the EHS auditorium.

Fall Comfort Classics Seasoned Shortcuts will be offering a variety of information and gifts for El Doradoans.

"Each season we use a different theme," said Joyce Beck, sales manager.

"There will be over 30 booths for people to view and shop from."

A grand prize will also be offered at the event, which will be a $500 gift certificate to be used at appliance dealers right here in El Dorado.

Lots of door prizes will also be awarded from the stage.

"We are excited about using this venue," said Beck.

This will be the first event held in the new EHS auditorium.

Jacob's Well and Oklahoma Boys Barbecue will be among booth holders.

"And it won't be concession stand food," said Beck. "We really pride ourselves on choosing food like ladies specialties."

Tickets to attend are on sale at Jacob's Well for $10 each.

They are also available by calling KFRM Radio at 785-632-5611.

"Everyone who comes to the show gets a goodie bag," Beck said. "The bag is valued at far more than $10."

Attendees will also get coupons, samples and recipe ideas.

"It's a great show for any age," she added. "It's well rounded for all ages."

Beck also suggested the event would be a great addition to a ladies’ night out or night out with friends.

"They will be making lots of things from stage," she said.

"Expect two to two-and-a-half hours of just a lot of fun."

She said it is a great place to get ideas for all seasons.

"You will leave with some great ideas and feel refreshed to conquer the fall cooking season," said Beck.
