Why should we have to pay for illegal aliens?

To the Gazette:

In response to Ms. Larsen’s “Untruths derailing honest debate” article, I offer some differing thoughts on the subject.  Ms. Larsen suggests that the debate has largely been taken over by conservatives and Sarah Palin.  This is not necessarily a bad thing given the fact that Democratic leadership wanted to pass this legislation in the middle of the night and then go on summer recess.  When then would the debate have taken place?

HR 3200, also known as America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, is a 1,014 page document introduced by Congressmen John Dingell, Charlie Rangel, Henry Waxman, George Miller of California and some lesser known Congressmen.  These guys are some of the most radical, socialist leaning members of Congress.  This piece of legislation was written mostly by 20 something-year-old liberal lawyer staffers of the aforementioned Congressmen.

I have tried to read this bill, but it is very hard to comprehend.  My guess is not one Congressman has read this bill and if they have, they, too, do not comprehend it.

This is a very expensive bill, it does ration healthcare and it invades your privacy like no one has done before.  There are no viable means to begin to pay for HR 3200.  It has an initial trust funding of $119.6 billion which is less than $400 for every man, woman and child in America.
America’s health care system is the best one on the planet and is the envy of the world.  I know we have 47 million people that are not part of it, but that number includes illegal aliens, as well as about 20 million single, healthy, young men and women that choose not to belong.
Speaking of illegal aliens, we must stop coddling them and treating them like ordinary American citizens.  They are not and should not be treated like they are.  We must secure our borders to allow only legal immigration.

I have not talked to one single person who disagrees with the notion of health care reform, but why should we have to have an immediate deadline on such an important matter?  Why should we have to pay for illegal aliens?

In closing, remember the words of former Senator Tom Daschle (remember him? He is a Secretary HHS nominee who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes) who said, “Health care reform will not be pain free.  Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.”

While former Colorado Governor Dick Lamm says seniors have “a duty to die.”

Also, remember the President, Senators and Congressmen have their own super deluxe health care plan that is guaranteed for life.

Of course, they are not subject to this new law they are trying to cram down our throats.
