Renovations are complete for the office of the Kansas Governor's One-Shot Turkey Hunt and Leadership Butler.

"People have been coming in and out all day," said Becky Wolfe, Turkey Hunt president.

The building, located at 200 S. Main Suite 2, has been empty for the previous four years.

"It has been a two-and-a-half month renovation project," said Wolfe.

New carpet, painting and wall construction was all a part of the renovation.
Leadership Butler held their ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Friday and a large variety of snacks were served.

The Kansas Governor's One-Shot Turkey Hunt held their ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.

Leadership Butler is comprised of three programs, the Adult Program, the Youth Leadership butler program and the Alumni Association. All programs are integral parts of the organization.

The Adult program was formed in 1988 and from the first adult class the Leadership Butler Alumni Association was founded. This program is a volunteer base for all programs at Leadership Butler.

In 1993, alumni members introduced the Youth Leadership Butler Program, targeting juniors from all school districts in Butler County.

Leadership Butler is governed by an 11-member volunteer Board of Trustees who are comprised of individuals throughout Butler County.

The Governor's Turkey Hunt is an event aimed to conserve habitat and teach youth the value of nature and its importance.

Both organizations will be operating out of the office, and with new paint and carpet have a fresh and energized center to help those involved in the organizations.
