Industrial Park project kicks Augusta's building valuation figure past $4.3 million
With a near $1.5 million surge in June, the year’s estimated value of local construction has jumped past the $4.3 million mark in?Augusta.
In the sixth month of the year, the city inspection office logged an estimated $1,486,736 in new consrtuction projects.
The highest number was 26 permits issued for residential remodeling or additions wioh an estimated valuation of $200,736.
An industrial permit was issued to DJ Engineering for a new 30,000 square foot warehouse at the Augusta Industrial Park, on the east side of the community. The estimated value there was $1.1 million.
There were no permits issued in June for new homes.
The other June high points are one permit for an assembly addition valued at $175,000.
Five permits for garages/carports amounted to $11,000 in permit fees.
The latest overall figure for the year now stands at $4,368,443.
Also, the inspection office issued 49 permits for garage sales in June and that put the year’s total at 130.
