Lois E. Pierce, 73, of El Dorado, died Monday evening, Oct. 27, 2008 at Harry Hynes Hospice at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita. The celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in the McGill Cemetery.

Lois was born May 29, 1935 in Benton, the daughter of Francis “Bus” and Faye Bogle McMaster. She attended schools in Benton and graduated from the Benton High School. On Nov. 14, 1953 she was united in marriage to Mariner McMaster at the Palmyra Church in Benton. He died Feb. 6, 1998. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper for Cargil Grain retiring in 2002. He life revolved around her family especially her grandkids.

Surviving family include: one son, Leon and his wife Debbie Pierce of El Dorado; two daughters, Kathie and Kevin Rice of El Dorado and Beverly and Roger Mosier of Towanda; one brother, Gary McMaster of Hutchinson; two sisters, Bonnie Lyons of Underwood, Iowa, and Vera Doss of Renton, Wash.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her special friend, PeeWee. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two brothers and one sister.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions may be left with the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
