The Augusta High School Marching Band earned superior ratings at the Arkalalah Marching Festival and Parade last Saturday, Oct. 25, in Arkansas City.
 The band performed a show entitled, "Music of The Who", including the songs, Pinball Wizard, Behind Blue Eyes, Who Are You, Won't Get Fooled Again, and Baba O'Riley. 
The show was licensed and specially arranged for the AHS Band by Dr. Scott Lubaroff from the University of Central Missouri.
The AHS band is under the direction of Todd Hollis, assistant Randy McKee, color guard coach Renee Berggren, and under the field direction of drum major Kris Borden.
Featured soloists include Quentin Cox, trombone; Jarod Regier, trumpet; McKenzie Windholz, trumpet; Sarah Davis, tenor saxophone; Ryan Bennett, trombone;  Jeff Henderson, trumpet; and Stephen Allen, alto saxophone. 
The Augusta High School Band was also selected to perform at the prestigous night show along with bands from Douglass High School and Arkansas City High School. 
They will compete tomorrow at the Southern Plains Marching Festival in Andover.
