Randy Waldorf, Augusta Republican, has announced his intent to file for re-election as County Commissioner for District 2.
“It has been my pleasure serving the citizens of District 2, and I look forward to another term as their Commissioner,” he said.
“Butler County will continue to face many important issues during the next four years, and I look forward to providing positive leadership as we work together to make decisions that are in the best interests of District 2 and Butler County.” 
This district includes Augusta, Spring, and Little Walnut townships.
Prior to serving as County Commissioner, Waldorf served 10 years on the Augusta City Council.
His professional background includes, banking, finance, personnel management and budgeting, as well as the experience of running a successful business.
Waldorf owned and operated Butler County Title, now Kansas Secured Title, for 11 years. During that time, he was active in the Augusta Chamber of Commerce, the local United Way, Augusta Progress, Inc., and Leadership Butler.
He resides in Augusta with his wife, Kathy, of 28 years. They have two daughters, Jessica and Sarah.
