Wesley Russell Folck, 80, of Walnut Shade, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 24; celbration of life at 2 p.m., at Forsyth Welchel Funeral Chapel in Forsyth, Mo.
Wes was born Aug.19, 1927, in Little River, Kan.
He served his country in the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged in 1954 after attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He married Frances Dolores Taylor of Wichita in June 1946; she passed away in 1997. Wes was the service manager for Finn Dist.Inc., for 40 years.
Wes flew model airplanes for over 50 years and was an active Amateur (Ham) Radio operator as well; his call sign was WA0KGB.
He married Iva (Cummings) Moore on Feb. 14, 1999 in Walnut Shade, Mo.
Wes is survived by wife Iva; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Torrin Folck; daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Folck) and George McCoy; granddaughters, Catherine Daniels, Christine Daniels, and Mallory McCoy; grandson, Tyler Folck; brother, Richard Folck, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Glen, Robert, Larry, and Jean; first wife Frances Dolores (Taylor) Folck.
In place of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
