Bites from stray animals are starting to increase as the temperature warms up and more people are out enjoying the nice weather. There have already been several animal bites reported in Butler County this year. When you are bit or severely scratched by a stray or unknown animal, rabies is always a possibility. Currently, none of the animals reported this year have had rabies, but last year there was one confirmed case in Butler County from a domesticated animal.
